Outreach has been approved for a sponsor license, under the government’s new Certificate of Sponsorship for care workers scheme granting visas for healthcare professionals. This will allow us to recruit skilled overseas professionals to work within Outreach, allowing a constant flow of skilled carers for our growing list of service users.

The Home Office will only provide a sponsor licence to an organization that can demonstrate that the positions they are recruiting for, as well as the employees they seek to sponsor, fulfill the proper guidelines. In addition, the organization must have HR procedures in place that meet onerous sponsorship compliance requirements.

Regarding the scheme that launched in summer, 2020, Home Secretary Priti Patel said:

“We are indebted to overseas health and care professionals for their tremendous contributions, not just in saving thousands of lives throughout this crisis, but for the vital role they play year-round.”

“This new visa is part of our new immigration system making it quicker, cheaper and easier for the best and brightest health and care professionals from around the globe to work in our brilliant NHS.”
