About Us
Learn about Outreach
“We're committed to providing the highest standard of domiciliary care & supported living services.”
Outreach Support Services was founded in 2015 by Richard Aiyeki, a renowned NHS practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the provision of personal care.
We’ve now grown into a large, successful company with over 50 employees that serve vulnerable people throughout the city, and we put this down to providing a trustable, reliable service that has changed the lives of hundreds of people.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, who routinely inspect our services to ensure they are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. This means you can rest assured that we adhere to strict regulatory standards and independent checks.
“Our unit must be safe, secure, and reliable.”
Our comprehensive induction programmes ensure all Outreach carers meet industry standards, and are trained to a level that satisfies the Essential Standards of Quality outlined by the Care Quality Commission.
We believe in investing in and retaining our staff as it helps to foster a core staff unit that collaborates effectively to increase our standard of care as we continue to excel. It also ensures there are no gaps in our carer’s knowledge, or unfamiliarity with our principles, practices, and procedures.
Due to the sensitivity of our work, we conduct DBS checks and contact employment references to ensure we provide our service users with a safe, secure, and reliable service.
“We directly recruit, train, and manage all our carers”
Outreach directly hires, trains, and manages all of our carers, meaning you will never worry about training, DBS checks, or references. In an instance of sudden illness, service users are never without a carer as we are able to send a replacement carer immediately.
Because of our in-house control, all of our carers are directly supervised by their local manager, and they undergo regular appraisals, attend regular meetings, and are subject to unexpected checks to ensure they are meeting your requirements, in addition to our mandatory protocols.
You can access our most recent CQC assessment by clicking here. We were rated ‘Good’, meaning we are meeting our objectives in all areas.
“A large percentage of our contracts are from local authorities”
We are well-endorsed by both Barking & Dagenham and Havering local authorities, and they approach us with service users that require domiciliary care in the local community. We’ve established this relationship over time, by demonstrating we can meet excellent standards of care.
Essentials of our training
Closely monitored practices
1
Safeguarding
All our carers take safeguarding very seriously, in order to promote the welfare of our service users and protect them from harm.
2
Medication Awareness
All carers are trained to administer medication safely, adequately record what has been provided, and the types of medication they are permitted to give.
3
Moving and Handling
We take moving, lifting, and handling service users very seriously, as doing so unsafely can place users and our carers at risk. Our training focuses on the use of safe, industry standard techniques.
